Queensland Maple. [Flindersia Brayleyana]

 

Queensland Maple, a traditional fine cabinet species from the forests of North-Queensland. Today, a survivor, of what was a substantial North-Queensland cabinet timber industry.  Available in sliced veneer and sawn timber for furniture, shopfitting, carving and turning.

 

Medium density at air dry 580kg/m3, lustrous pink and easy to work. Generally available in 25mm 38mm and 50mm thicknesses. To lesser extent in 75mm and 100mm thickness.
