Bubinga. [Guibourtia demeusei].  Known also as African Rosewood.


A species of West Africa; this timber is imported in small volumes mainly for use in high quality shopfitting, cabinetry and by wood working enthusiasts. Bubinga is medium red-brown to almost purple in colour at times.


It is relatively easy to work and weights 800-950kg/m3. Boards in 25mm 38mm and 50mm are normal stock holdings in small volumes
